Just had an xray of my broken toe, the cool thing is you get a CD with the image in the DICOM format. So I used xmedcon on Ubuntu(it's already in the repositories) to view and convert the file to a PNG format for you to see. :-)

H.R.5843 Act to Remove Federal Penalties Marijuana Use
Time to contact congress and let them know how you feel. Looks to return the power to the states. It's baby steps, but that is how it's done.
Remember that:
* It would not affect federal laws prohibiting the sale of marijuana
for profit, import and export of marijuana, or manufacturing
(cultivating) marijuana.
It would not legalize major drug dealing or create obstacles for
agents of the federal government seeking to prevent major drug dealing.
It would not affect any state or local laws and regulations.
* It would not alter the legal status of marijuana as a Schedule I drug
under the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 801 et. seq.).

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
- This Act may be cited as the `Act to Remove Federal Penalties for the Personal Use of Marijuana by Responsible Adults'.
SEC. 2. ELIMINATION OF CERTAIN MARIJUANA-RELATED PENALTIES.
- Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no penalty may
be imposed under an Act of Congress for the possession of marijuana for
personal use, or for the not-for-profit transfer between adults of
marijuana for personal use. For the purposes of this section,
possession of 100 grams or less of marijuana shall be presumed to be
for personal use, as shall the not-for-profit transfer of one ounce or
less of marijuana, except that the civil penalty provided in section
405 of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 844a) may be imposed
for the public use of marijuana if the amount of the penalty does not
exceed $100.

Open Source Texas Holdem Poker aka PokerTH
For all of you Texas Holdem players out there, there is a GPL-licensed poker game for you. It is available at http://pokerth.net . It runs on Linux, Mac, and Windows and you can download the source code, installer or standalone. Most will want to use the installer :-) You can play offline with computer opponents, or network/internet games with others, or a combination of others and computer opponents.
Its also available in the Ubuntu repositories, so you can install it using your method of choice.
What makes my Ubuntu Hardy complete
With the latest LTS release of Ubuntu Linux, codename Hardy Heron, I am about to reinstall(normally you can just upgrade) and wanted a reference as to what all I want installed. You can download it, or request free cds, and find out what is new.
First I want to backup original sources.list and enable all of the repositories using the following two commands.

Special little 'story teller' makes me laugh.
Ok, everyone that knows what is currently going on with the 'special little "story teller"' is going to find this funny as shit. I of course can't go into details yet, but it was so funny, I just had to put it here.
